If you:
- Are hosting tired guests with sore muscles
- Needing some solo time to relax
- Want to give someone an experience they will never forget
See that glistening water? It's loaded with magnesium-based Epsom salts that allow your body to float, effortlessly. The salt also softens your skin, relieves sore muscles, and replenishes the magnesium deficiency that most of us experience due to depleted mineral levels in our soil.
But the most amazing effect by far is the state of peace and relaxation you experience after floating in complete darkness for 90 minutes. It's incredible and one of those things you just have to try to believe.

The very friendly, helpful staff makes your first visit enjoyable! |
- All you will be able to hear when you first get in the water is your breathing and your heart beat. Focus on listening to your breath, but not controlling it.
- Your mind will race for at least 10-15 minutes, but your thoughts will slow down as you listen to your breath and relax.
- Practice the 4-7-8 breathing technique - it really works! Here's a Dr. Weil video demonstration.
- You might notice your body twitching in the same way it does before you fall asleep. This is a good sign that your body and mind are relaxing.
- Don't raise up your arms to touch your face! If you get salt water in your eye, it will sting like the dickens.
- Don't drink caffeine 6 hours before getting in the tank.
There are showers in each private room. If you are a woman, you may want to bring a hair brush, though everything else is provided.
Float On has a very chill lounge with free tea and kombucha. Added bonus: the people watching is amazing. Healthy, hip, handsome people use float tanks and it's fun to watch people exit from their session when they are in a state of bliss.
Rainy day or not, floating and eating a healthy meal is a great way to spend an afternoon. The feeling is quite unique, so bring a friend or spouse for maximum enjoyment!
